rimless 10g tank update
It’s been over two months since I bought my latest aquarium, and I promised I’d post an update once the tank has time to settle in. During that time, I decided that the tank’s built-in submersible pump was too loud and too annoying to clean, and removed it. In its place, I’ve added a small sponge filter and an air pump. That should (hopefully) be enough to keep things moving and the water oxygenated at night. ...
rimless 10g tank
I decided the terrarium in my office looked lonely, and decided to liven things up with an aquarium. While grabbing some mopani wood at my favorite fish shop, I spotted a 10 gallon rimless cube aquarium that would fit nicely on the table next to my desk. While there was a very nice-looking stand and light setup featured with it, I’m too cheap and impatient to buy that and wait for delivery on those, so I just picked up the tank itself. ...

goodwill terrarium build
I picked up a few potential terrarium enclosures from the local Goodwill while shopping for more storage containers. Recently I’ve mostly just been using aquariums, because I already have so many lying around, but I want something that fits my sun room’s aesthetic a bit better. ...
homelabbing
While I try to spend a majority of my freetime outdoors, or at least interacting with nature in the form of working on my terrariums and aquariums, occasionally I have to indulge in some infrastructure bikeshedding and reimplementation of existing tools, like any other IT worker. To that end, I run an increasingly-convoluted homelab setup, though I use the term loosely as it spans both my home and various baremetal server providers (thanks, Hetzner and OVH). ...
